I have never seen one before, it was leaving SF with Utah plates. Apparently zero people in the Bay Area bought these because I didnt even know they ever existed. Not really a surprise, almost nobody buys American cars here except for pick ups, Suburbans, Explorers, Vettes etc. Anything else is Japanese and German, some Hyundais now I guess.

They sold 100,000 of them to someone...

Theyre pretty popular in Canada, although we always had a preference to Pontiacs up north.

I was in san francisco last month and saw a 250 GTO and a Talbot Lago...of course they were in a vintage car dealership but still.

Theyre everywhere in salt-soaked Ontario.

I never knew these existed too, until I moved to Oklahoma, all of them there were Torrents. All as in like you know, none of its other variants.

I saw what must have been this exact same Torrent in traffic, too! Yay Bay Area! Hardly see any of its platform-mates around here, I think thats a good thing.

I just assumed a dealer I mean a $20 million car. it was in what looked like a store front nearish city hall.

Yeah thats on Van Ness, there are actually more than one showroom on either side of the street. Basically the Academy of Art University is a real estate company from what I can tell. They buy up buildings all over the city for classes and they buy up old hotels/motels for housing for the students. Yes its a real school that might have good teachers, I have no idea, but its not a cheap school and they have what looks like a billion dollar car collection, including a steve McQueen Ferrari 275 GTB. They have any unobtatium car you can think of, there are pre war Alfas and Deusenbergs, the Lago..... I install shows and build stuff for shows, so I see the display they have at the SF auto show when we move the shows in. But basically it seems like they use the school as a way to get tons of real estate paid for by hipster kids who pay them high tuition and rent. I even read one excuse for the car collection was so design students could see the cars in person.

That is insane. I once considered sutdying there but then I saw tuition. I would be pissed if my school bought a collection of cars...make no sense.
