!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Thanks to K-Roll I have been looking for a cheaper air cooled project. I don’t care if the paint is gone, I want to DD it. Any way, I have never quite understood the, “let me put a kit on my Porsche to make it look like a newer Porsche cause I can’t afford the newer Porsche and I want to ruin my older Porsche” mentality. It straight up confuses me.

It also looks like a real life rendering of an anime 993. Why? What possessed this person to think, yes I want my car to look like a new version of my car because it will never preform like it, but people don’t know that.... Hell the people who won’t be able to tell are the same people who can’t see the model differences in 911s unless they are all parked next to each other.

Any way PSA: Do not ruin your Porsche by making it a Porsche....

This is what happened in the 90s. So many cars converted, almost none of them well. The only silver lining is that it knocks the prices way down for older cars that have suffered this fate.

I too have been looking for an air cooled Porsche for a daily driver but since the prices jumped a while ago I just can’t afford one. It’s disgusting but they’ve now become commodities like pork bellies. People just buy to sell at a higher price later. Let us drivers who want to actually use the cars get what we need damn it!

Find yourself sound but inexpensive 912. You can still buy them reasonably well, if you look around carefully. Have a reputable Porsche shop do an inspection, so you do not buy a can of worms. Then keep on working on it till it’s as beautiful as this one, if perfection you desire. If not perfection, just want a good driver, do at least all the mechancal bits properly. Then build youself, or have someone build for you a strong engine. They are pretty simple and easy to make. When you want more power, buy the POLO engine, the 911-based 4-cylinder

And you’ll have a pretty special, great handling Porsche car to enjoy, for not so much money.
