If this worked there is an embedded video of John Oliver describing his trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in winter. If not click through !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and be prepared to spend the next 6.5 minutes laughing. It is especially funny if you have been to the U.P. in winter and if you attended Michigan Tech like I did you can really relate.

I went to marquette to visit my dad once over winter break in the U.P. and went to Tech for a night to meet up with some HS friends. Lets just say a SC400 and Houghton do not get along.

Probably not the best choice for a winter vehicle in the U.P. Especially if it wasn’t on good winter tires.

I’ve driven past that sign. Did you go to MTU, or did your prof. just visit the area?

Mind me asking who the prof is? I wonder if I may have had him when I was at MTU. I went for mechanical engineering.

Dr. Scott Post, taught Fluids / Thermo / Heat Transfer / IC Engine Combustion, that kind of subject matter. He was at MTU from 2001 - 2006.

Never had him, though the name is familiar and I’m pretty sure I remember seeing him around.

He’s a cool dude. Fun fact, one of the EE professors worked on a Can-Am car in the early-’80s and is a racing fan, one day I walked by him and Dr. Post talking about Formula 1 aero and stuff, that was a really fun conversation.
