Yeah it worked out good corner to corner. I’m about 5’10” and wasn’t even touching the netting. Two people could lay and chill during a storm quite comfortably.

Hatchbacks for the win! I do the same in my Protege5. You are much better protected from the elements in a car vs a tent. Good idea with the netting!

I thought about a tail, but then I have to get a hitch installed. I found one that I like, but it was easier/cheaper/faster for me to get roof bars and a box.
