If you we’re going to build a Hotrod, or Ratrod what car/truck would you start with.

I think a 1940 Dodge Coupe would be awesome.

I love the long hood, the proud pointed grills, and it’s a bit more off beat than your standard 32 Ford.

And I’d keep it ratty. something like this, but lower.

And yes this started with CL window shopping

They’re ok as long as you switch axels. Don’t try to go with the originals. Total pain.

you gotta love hotrod trucks. Wagons are always good tho. And usually much cheaper than their two door counterparts.

On both of these, I’d probably fix the mechanical stuff, leave the paint and just lower them on some newer suspension components and then add a set of some steel wheels. I think they would both look great.

I’ve got plans that involve a 1960 Desoto Adventurer. but it’s hard to find one cheap enough to start with.

Either Id build another 32-34 Ford Pickup or a 35 ford coupe. A 37 ford pickup would be nice too.
