Hello! I’m doing alright, but my family is crumbling to pieces all around me. (not my wife and kids, but everyone else in sight) It can be quite stressful at times!

Yes i still run the cafe, but now i have staff to do things for me, so the cafe is good.

Well,it’s started by a lady problem. Mrs aya has gone missing two weeks ago, and things just snowballed from there.

with some Mercedes humor!

One time, my uncle’s friend had to get new brakes for his W140, while he was on a trip in Austria. he went to the Mercedes dealer, and asked for them to re-surface the brakes. they told him that he needs to come and pick it up the following morning.

Fast forward to tomorrow, and the car’s not done. he asks to go see the head mechanic. He walks in to the head mechanic’s office, and is greeted by a huge (i’m talking 2 meters tall plus, very strong) Austrian guy. On his desk is a warped brake rotor. My uncle’s friend asks why he hasn’t re-surfaced the disc yet. The Austrian guy laughs, takes the disc, and chucks it out the office window in to the trash. He then proceeds to say “you Serbs are hilarious. here in Austria, we take shit parts, and replace them, not make them more shit. so... you either have the car fixed right, or don’t buy a good car!”

Needless to say, my uncle's friend paid the premium for new brakes, and never; ever cut costs on his W140 again!

Oh that sucks, crazy! Sorry to hear it. Police involved? Any ideas? I can’t imagine if my wife disappeared. My world would pretty much stop in it’s tracks. The more I think about it, the more I get chills. Best of luck man!

Speaking of W140, a few weeks I went to a local dealership that somehow had an S600 Guard on the lot, with B7 Armor. It’s an ex Indonesian presidential car, with 70k kms on the clock, and very clean.

The price is not too bad, equivalent to a fully loaded Camry Hybrid in Indonesia (60k USD), but the repair bills it’s just insane. The Kevlar tires, the brakes, the emergency oxygen systems..

Still, I want one.

Well, a few weeks ago Mrs Aya is dispatched to a very rural area, to help the community there for two months. It’s about 1,600 miles from my home, and I thought she would be fine.

The first week started fine. I used to call her almost everyday, and she’s fine as far as I know. Then one night I couldn’t call her.

Fair Enough, I think. Maybe she’s busy. So I keep trying to call for the next 5 days and get no response.

Maybe she just lost her phone, I think. Then I tried to call her friends and it turns out that she’s been missing for the last 5 days..

In Indonesia you can only have 320, 500, or 600, all long wheelbase SEL. I wonder how a Diesel W140 feels like.

they’re not fast, but i’ll tell you this; I’ve never been in a more solid car in my life.

My uncle’s friend is a BIG Mercedes guy. he travelled all the way to Stuttgart to order his black on black 300 SD back in 1993, and he still has it (as well as a E220 CDI from 2006 or 7) he still has that W140 S-class, and he still uses it for all his travels, and considering he drives a lot it's held up great. Last time I saw him in 2013, the car had about 400,000 kilometres on it, and still ran great!

It does. I used to have a 1996 S600L for two years, and it’s one of the most solid car I’ve ever owned. Everything you touch is feels like it’s going to last a lifetime, and on a high speed it’s just so planted

Too bad the V12 is too expensive to run. Otherwise I wouldn’t sell her.

Not really. This may sounds odd but it’s easier to find a S600 in here..

Plus, I kinda want a Volvo if I have to buy a new car. I never owned a Volvo.
