I guess most f1 fans (are there any left?)have heard the rumors that lotus f1 has some serious debt.Maybe not so well known is that their gearbox supplier Xtrac recently started legal proceedings so they could recoup a large amount of money owed.Judging by the comments, Lotus havent been paying those bills for up to 15 months!!
Well done Xtrac for standing up to such BS! If i were a supplier in f1 there’s no way i’d be extending any credit.

Gearbox is shit AND they are asking for back payments? Now that’s a conundrum.

I’m a bit worried. Some of the bills they owe are as small as 97 pounds. It almost looks like they’re approaching Caterham/Marussia levels of uncertainty at the moment.

I like Lotus (even if it’s not the real Lotus... which is also struggling). It might be rather traditional but it is still one of the best liveries on the grid. It’ll be a shame if the brand disappears from the grid (again).
