Mazda Millenia.

It’s a shame, because even though it was a crap car, it was a cool concept. Miller-cycle supercharged 2.3 V-6 with 215 HP. Not bad for 1995 but reliability issues and high price made it a poor seller.

For the Lexus and the Buick, they do get some chat time, not much but they do. But the prism, I think even Chevrolet forgot about it.

The Es300/Camry is an awesome car like all 90s Toyotas, but the 3rd ES/4th Camry is a step backward from the previous gen, which was the best car ever made. I had a 96 for a few years and posted about it regularly :)

Again, a step back from the previous gen. Honestly though, GM should quit trying to make small cars and just sell the Prizm again. Did they really need the Prizm, Cavalier, AND Saturn?

The Lexus ES would be the most pointless car to ever exist if not for the fact that it’s prime example you point to, to show why badge snobbery is still a thing. Even though it offers really nothing more than the Toyota Avalon that it shares its base with, it’s one of Lexus’ best selling models.

I’m not referring to the one in the picture, I’m referring to the current ES that has almost nothing that the Avalon doesn’t. In fact, the Avalon even comes with fancy LED HID lighting that was once the purview of Lexus models only.

It’s quite funny that my ‘95 BMW has some Lucas Electrics stuff under the hood. Most of it is Bosch though, so most of it won’t break.

I still see plenty more ‘90s ES300’s around here (Northern VA) than I do Camry’s of the era. People online love to go on and on about how the LS400 is the automotive equivalent of that lightbulb that’s been burning since 1902, but I haven’t seen one on the road in ages.
