I’d call the contractor on that one. If he doesn;t think its a problem call the town. It will become his problem. I’m pretty sure that is a code violation. Is this the same house that had the crack in the brand new garage floor?

Is there some reason why the garage door itself isn’t higher? I would think that higher door would a lot more useful. Lower is cheaper?

based on that pic I’m going with CP. I’m also going to say there was probably on in the builder’s truck as well.

Where are you located? It seems house builders don’t take much pride in their work where you are.

Exactly. It was probably $50 bucks more for a 1 foot taller door so the contractor must of decided it wasn’t worth it.

Makes me sick to my stomach when you really think about it. We got to save as many pennies as we can regardless if we are building an inferior product.

That door seems 5 feet tall. When the door opens it’s in the middle of the windows.

Contractor has made a mistake on this one for sure.

Yes he made a mistake but no the door is not short. It is the doorway going into the home that is actually around 15” above the garage slab. All the had to so was just move that step out of the garage and into the hallway...

See other comment. Door into garage from hallway is 15” above garage slab. Should have just moved that step into the home and out of the garage
