If you saw this photo and read a comment that said,

“Its like a character from Cars. Its worse than I remember.”

And the response to this comment was,

“Thats a childrens movie, not cancer, you nimrod.”

With no other words exchanged between these two in the past, what would you think that it has to do with? I said it looked like a cartoon car and I thought it looked bad, they said its a children’s movie (I know I was comparing it), cancer??? Then insults me. Then they said I didn’t get the joke and I just began messing with them for fun because I’m at work with nothing to do.

Any ideas? What joke are they making?

People on the internet are dumb. I had a guy say that I must be okay with police shooting innocent black people because I shared a story from my childhood about us calling the cops on people running a stop sign by my house. Don’t sweat it.

The Thunderbird wasn’t a good example of the retro genre (New Beetle, Mini, Fiat 500, et seq.). But I didn’t think it was awful. It just failed to live up to that standard of make it better but make it retro enough.

My guess is he tried to say that, instead of a character from cars, it is actually cancer, but he was dropped on his head as a child, so he wrote that instead.

I think the joke was that it’s obvious you were referring to the Thunderbird when you said it’s worse than you remembered. You mentioned cars, so the joke was that they were replying to you as if you were referring to Cars as being worse than you remembered.

Yeah its a mystery, I asked them about cancer a few times and they never answered, just kept saying how dumb I was for not getting it. Perhaps they messed up and didn’t want to admit it.
