So my buddy, who probably will read this on here too just picked up one of the best deals I’ve seen in forever: a 91 MR2 Turbo (factory) with 107k on it. I got to drive it today. Its. So. Much. Fun. Ive never driven anythig mid engined before, and although its not a ton of power its a different experience. Jealous of him, and it made me realize how much i miss having a sporty car. And how much i miss driving manual. I love my wrangler, but theres something about having that third pedal....
And some bittersweet news: more than likely selling the jeep too, and just not gonna have a car. I got a promotion at work so im working out of HQ in Brooklyn and im moving in with my girlfriend in Manhattan so i have no need and no place to store a vehicle. Our insurance company is also threatening to put us in a higher bracket, so i want to cut my losses and not have a vehicle i dont need.

Congrats on the promotion and RIP to your wrangler. Maybe try to find some kart track in or around the city to get your driving fix.

Get a motorcycle. Easier to store, and even if you get a honda civic of motorcycles, it’s still a motorcycle.

Considering this, but parking rules in the area I’m moving to are still not easy (Murray Hill Midtown)

Who wouldn’t be jelly of a clean MR2 Turbo 5-speed with only 107K?
Maybe if cars like that were more widely produced, it wouldn’t be so rare to find this sort of thing anymore...
Aside from the storage-compromised, and not-as-good-looking ZZW30 MR2 Spyder... there aren’t many other options.

Maybe rent a storage place not too far away? I know my dad used to keep his bike in one when he was a kid since there was no space at the family house for it.
