As the post says I’ve had this idea for awhile. I drive a fairly old Taurus and I love doing ridiculous stuff to it and having fun in general. If I feel like trying something new it’s normally to the “trusty” old Taurus. This idea however isn’t trying something new so much as mocking the bro truck guys. The guys that have massive Vummins and Powerstroke and Duramax(listed in that order due to frequency) stickers on their back windows. The Taurus has a U vin code meaning that it came with the Vulcan engine. So here is my idea, take a picture such as this one
Use the hand part and put 6 beside it and VULCAN above it and have it made into a rear windshield sticker. What do you think Oppo?

It's like the Blipshift sticker. If it's done it satire it's fine right?

What about a nice big Yamaha sticker for the back window of my Taurus? Pictures of the bull bar will come soon. What year is your Taurus?

Mine is a 98 so the Vulcan thing just adds to the spaceship feeling. I’m kind of Jealous of yours though.

Lol, don’t be jealous. I’ve had it nearly a year now and have yet to drive it. ‘91 SHO+ manual. Previous owner got dinged for street racing in another car so I got this one for $400.

I would happily pay $400 for that myself. Wait, is the reason you haven’t driven it due to it not running or you not wanting the inconvenience of driving an older car?

Due to the inconvenience of not having any brakes. I’ll never buy a new car.

Make sure to double check tightness. I know a guy that knows a guy whose driver side caliper rattled off while going over railroad tracks. There is no situation that makes one feel so incompetent like that.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll make sure to double check. (It’s now got all be brakes, master cylinder, lines, calipers, rotors and pads.)

Nice, that’s a lot more effort than many are willing to invest in a Taurus. I feel happy when I find another person that likes their Taurus or Tauruses in general for some reason.

I actually bought the car as an engineer e donor for my Capri. The idea was to use the SHO engine and a Ranger five speed and drop the whole circus into my Crapri, even keep the EFI. But I made the mistake of posting it on the SHOForums and I found out that the car was one of 30 optioned like it was and it wasn’t nearly enough enough to justify killing it.
So now the Crapri is getting a tunnel rammed 302 and manual valve body C6. And the SHO has a few thousand dollars of new suspension and brakes underneath.
Here’s an article covering the original plan, With pictures of the Capri,

And a picture of the rattiest looking SHO in southern Ontario.

Wait, what exactly are you planning on doing with the SHO? Daily driver or what? Also, I didn’t know I wanted a capri until now.

The SHO is going to be my daily driver, my very first car in fact. And I am making you want a Capri even more now...

Sorry, I don’t happen to have a Green one handy.

I take it back, it looks better in racing livery.

Those cars are the old Weslake 2.6 cars. Mechanical fuel injection and the whole deal.
