I would really love to have this. But the mileage scares me a little, and the interior had probably fallen apart.

Oh god, so tempting. How hard can a wiring issue be to fix?

*awkward silence*

Oh Range Rovers can indeed go off-road, and they are pretty good at it, too. But don’t expect them to do it a second time.

To answer the initial question, Jeep and Toyota enthusiasts.

They've always been able to go off-road, just not very reliably.

Ooh ooh I said that I said that!

Of course he’s selling it because something broke, I’d never trust any Land Rover except a Defender to go offroad.

Nope, as a Toyota enthusiast, I’ve always wanted to take a Range Rover offroad. It’s less likely to fall apart than a Jeep. I’ll take an electrical failure over full mechanical failure any day.

I know who doesn’t say that: Shmee150.

As for the Range Rover being sold above, if it were local and the owner were feeling negotiable, I might buy it.

2003 range rover, 1200 in tires, 2000 in winch and bar...for 5500. Ouch.

What about a Disco1 or Range Rover Classic? They’re basically mechanically identical to a defender. They just have a few more electrical bits, which aren’t problematic (usually) and won’t leave you stick or stranded anyway.

Electrical bits are scary. I’d take an RR Country LWB though.

Oh good! Air suspension (depending on the year)! Shitty old air suspension. Luckily almost all of those have been converted to coils by now.

Not to mention all of the work they’ve surely put into it to get it to that mileage in the first place.

Either the shop is quoting a harness because it’s that messed up or because they’re not sure where the problem is except that it’s must likely in the harness somewhere.

If I were a bit more liquid at the moment I would seriously consider it.
