both cars got a much needed bath and detail today. I just it wasn’t so hot or I would have broke out the wax.

Looking good!

I'm actually about 17.5hrs into a detail on my car. Probably another 12-15 to go!

My wife bought it new in 2006 about 3 months before we met. It’s only got 68k on the clock. As much as I want to hate it, it just goes and goes. Great mpg and very little issues. Typical bulletproof Toyota.

Replying in an old post because I’m not planning on telling the rest of Oppo.

Clutch went, thermostat went, no heat, no ac. Needed 02 sensors, needed timing belt. That’s about $9,000 worth of work. The original owner, (a doctor) was one cheapskate and never really did anything maintenance wise as it turns out. He didn’t ever bring it to the dealer after 2003 except once and that was to trade it for a new one...... It isn’t even clear if he EVER did the timing belt.

I didn’t want to fix any of that shit. So I parked it and bought a Jetta.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt. Fuck that guy! Sorry to hear that. I really like the new ride though. Super jealous of the interior. It really brings it together nicely.

Yup, definitely not what I was expecting. A one owner manual twin turbo A6 owned by a well known area doctor that owned his own practice and made $300k+ a year but didn’t take it to the dealer all but a few times........

Hopefully, I’ll be selling it for $1,800 within the next month to a guy from Audizine.

Thanks, I do love the Jetta so far though, while it’s a bit down on power it suits my needs very nicely.

Any plans for it? Tiny? Wheels?

As of right now, I’m going for a look something like this:

(Without the ugly ding guards)

I may do an APR tune at some point, but it’s not high on my list right now. The Sport model I have has the same suspension as in the GLI, so at least it handles right.

As far as wheels, I’m eyeing the VW Motorsport wheels like the ones in that picture.

Haha, the prices on them are pretty great. Good interiors and most importantly, really safe also.
