First track day with the ST.

Decided at the last minute to go run at the local track. Have yet to do any track even in my car though I have been on the track before, so that helped. Only able to run 4 fast laps, had some heat soak issues today. Only able to do my out-lap, fast-lap & in-lap 4 times. Oil temp reached 256 degrees according to my AccessPort, sheeesh. Either way, I had the 2nd fastest lap, only .6 seconds behind 1st (pretty sure it was the guy in the Mustang race car). Every other car was a Corvette (including a C7 and a C6 Z06) BMWs and a couple Porsche.

I honestly felt like a troll running faster times and less laps in a damn Ford Focus.

Well that’s a bummer. A lot of new turbo cars are having this problem is seems. Just about every Subaru at my last trackday had to pull in mid session due to heat soak. Including aftermarket turbo BRZ’s with large intercoolers.

Going to get an oil cooler probably. Will see what guys on the ST forum are doing.
