True, but easy to swap out, and even the PRV is bound to be more exciting than the great yellow Bummer. My own 1990 Volvo was the turbo wagon, and it was a hoot (and still faster than a lot of newer cars).

Yeah, but it’s damn near immaculate, and the PRV is replaceable; at the very least, it's less awful than his current rolling block of metal.

Case in point: my dad had an old 1989 740 wagon with turbo I-4 and a stick shift...it was rather quick for a seven seater and it’s a pity that I never got a chance to drive it myself...besides, I hear the PRV is rather unreliable as well without fastidious maintenance, which I suspect this car has not had...

I don’t disagree that in their natural habitats, they’re almost without peer (or perhaps entirely, considering other OEM off-road-focused vehicles). But based off Doug’s particular experiences with his particular truck, it could be an improvement (but probably less click-baity)

True, though he does seem to have other difficulties with it, mostly due to his locale.
Maybe he should move to a more rural area (but near a CarMax and/or Land Rover dealership) sell the Skyline, and use the money to put a Duramax or bring it to Alpha-spec.
