“It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.”

I can’t drink the stuff. At the most I could have one cup if it’s decent stuff, but I still feel anxious. I drink that Zambazon Acai drink if I have an early morning in the middle of a show and I’m dragging ass.

You do get acclimated to caffeine, though I’m not sure how quickly. I drink quite a bit of coffee and it usually doesn’t bother me or affect my sleeping even if I drink it in the evening. That being said I do avoid drinking it on work nights as every once in a while it can keep me up and that sucks when the alarm goes off at 6 AM.

I don’t want to know how much caffeine it would take to make my hands shake. I can drink a lot of coffee and I’ve never gotten shaky hands. I start to bounce my knee after a few cups of java, but don’t get the shakes that I’ve ever noticed.

Its not the caffeine because I drink stuff with quite a bit of it, I think it’s the combination of caffeine with whatever coffee has, upsets my system and also gives me that anxious feeling. Acai is good for me, or I can just drink tea. I like Assam black tea with maple syrup as a sweetener.

Yeah, I’m all about a good cup of straight coffee. Maybe a pinch of salt if it is bitter and shitty coffee.

Yes nothing, I want another. Too bad I don’t have access to a good cup of coffee at work. Keurig coffee is better than what we got out of the old coffeemaker, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it good.

Coffee has a phenomenal amount of caffeine compared to most other drinks. There is something like 8x as much caffeine in a cup of coffee as there is in a can of pop.
Real maple syrup in your tea I hope? I’ve never really cared for tea, but then I’ve only had it 2 or 3 times. Maybe if I tried more varieties I’d find something I like, but coffee is something I know I like.

That is a Marine Corps way of life to save 2 day old coffee.

Yeah I have compared the levels. Of course real maple syrup, I get one that is practically a can hung on a tree back east haha. Assam black tea is from that region and is a bit different, there are some big differences between Earl Grey and others. Just never get Lipton bags, loose whole leaves in a can from places like Republic of Tea will be so much better, I make it dark and strong too so it can be powerful.
