I was reading an article containing phone rumors, and in the comments I found the tech-equivalent of one of us. You know how you go on the FP (or even Oppo) and occasionally come across a list of things someone wants from a company? Check this out.
Curved body and display 8k ,3D
Note 5 OLED : OLED,(fully aluminium) and

A deeper grip ensures stable handling, even for small hands. A brighter viewfinder offers ~100% frame coverage, 0.001x magnification and high contrast organic EL information display for easier visibility. The scratch- and shock-resistant. Its color can be calibrated to match an external monitor, and a new split-screen feature lets you monitor two different points of a scene side-by-side to ensure proper leveling or focus.
with magnesium alloy, stringently tested weather and dust sealing, a shutter that’s been tested to DIGIC 6+ Image Processors help deliver high quality image capture at up to 120 fps (140 fps in Super High Speed Mode) and a powerful ISO range of 100–98576 (up to 889800 in H2 mode) helps provide sharp, low-noise images even in dim low-light conditions. A 68-Point High-Density Reticular AF and 1000,000-pixel RGB Metering Sensor that uses a dedicated DIGIC 5 Image Processor help make the reach new levels of focus speed and accuracy delivering advanced tracking even for the most challenging shooting situations. Taken all together, numerous connectivity options, combination of processing power and durable construction, including shutter durability tested to 800,000 cycles,, longer battery life, and advanced in-camera editing like NEF (RAW) processing, distortion control, image overlay and more, makes the as reliable on the road as it is in the studio.

Unrealistic hopes and dreams aside, this drivel is the exact same thing as someone here saying “I just want a front engined high-displacement V8 supercharged RWD lightweight 2 seat coupe with at least 500 HP, 600 lb/ft, manual gearbox, 285 rear tires, xenons, DRL’s, 9,000 RPM, bucket seats with 4 point harnesses, carbon fiber everything, and maybe throw in some electric motors.”
The next time a normal person you know gives you a weird look when you talk about cars, think of the guy above. That’s what they think you look/sound like.

Blood tests?

A lot of that stuff is questionable. Thermal camera? 68,000 mAh battery? I think he wants a war machine.

I suppose you need some way to guarantee someone is not one of the infected.

Yeah, this doesn’t sound like it was written by a non-marketing human.
“ Super strong handsfree”
“ High sensitivity and artificial intelligence”
“a shutter that’s been tested to DIGIC 6+ Image Processors help deliver high quality image capture...” (That doesn’t make sense)
“ makes the as reliable on the road as it is in the studio. Capture the moment in just 0.005 seconds. )“ (That especially sounds like marketing speak.)
Maybe it’s just the (fairly obvious) language barrier, but this, especially the first two paragraphs, feels like marketing copy for a mythical phone more than an enthusiast’s wishlist. Maybe he C+P’d bits from different phones he likes? Dunno.

Pffshh. That 1.8 KR sounds SOOO different from the 1.8 PL.. The KR is the best.. duuude..
(VW Talk, and yes, the KR does deliver more power, but the PL does have the cat..)

Reminds me of this old post:

Someone posted a Jalop review of a dishwasher (or perhaps a clothes washer) here once as a parody. It was funny.
EDIT: Found it.

Never let this die.

If someone said “What would your dream phone have,” you bet your ass it’s coming equipped with an infinity battery and a 3-d unicorn printer.

Yeah lol I was thinking about that when I found the quote above.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 22:34 |

Yeah lol I thought about it too

Except his wish list doesn’t start off realistic, starting with wanting a crazy high res camera with DSLR quality processing and FX sensor. It isn’t physically possible in a phone!
![]() 07/13/2015 at 22:38 |

True, but occasionally you’ll see realistic wishes for cars but a totally unrealistic price or something.

I just want to see:
mid-engine boxer NA 6, RWD 2+2 for $30k... My FR-s would be on the market ASAP!
Maybe not, I still love my FR-S

Like this: “blah blah twincam blah blah alcantara headliner blah blah blah sequential transmission blah, blah blah wailing through the mulsanne blah gotta go to the parts store ...”

My go-to comparison is me listening to a couple of Canadians talk about hockey. Smile and nod, smile and nod.

Mid-engine and 2+2?
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:00 |

Mine is basically listening to people talk about any sport.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:01 |

Aha! Uh, jump seats, on the roof. Attached to Targa tops that can swapped with regular targa tops on track days...
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:06 |
|
I think a mid-engined 2+2 would actually be pretty awesome/ridiculous. The front 2 seats would be jammed into the back of the front wheel wells or something.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:12 |

Yeah, I want just enough back seat to be able to cram a no-legs person back there if I had to, just like the FR-S... The Porsche that came close didn’t quite meet the requirement. The Challenger SRT, Camaro SS did but I loved the feel of the FR-S a little too much and the new Mustang wasn’t out / buyable yet... to test drive... And the WRX was too tame feeling. I love ‘em but shenanigans are just too hard to be had sanely.

Jesus. I thought it said 6800mAh, and I thought it was absurd.
68,000 is ridiculous. Surely he means 6,800, but either way it’s a ridiculous claim from an idiot who knows nothing about how the world works.
Really it’s like asking for 5000hp in a 10 seat sports car no longer than an Elise that weighs 650kg and revs to 30,000rpm and does 0-100 in 0.1 seconds. It’s simply not possible.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:39 |

That’s bad, but I would totally buy that phone if the price wasn’t completely outrageous.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:40 |

That stuff is like 10 years into the future. For it to be at a low price you’d have to wait another 5 lol.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:41 |

I would love to have 2TB storage and 16 GB ram in my laptop but that’s not going to happen either.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 23:49 |

Oh man, that is classic. Never read it before. My wife got a total kick out of it.

Especially if it’s a conversation about German cars, at which point everything just devolves into strings of letters and numbers.
Anyway, so the other day at the Nurburgring I saw an DTM E46 M3, an E 63 AMG, an RS6 and a 991 911 GT3 RS. Man that S54 sounded good, but it just couldn’t compare to that 3.8 at 9K, even if it is PDK.

Vibrating massage
LOL

At least we talk about a car that is built with parts/engines/features that are already widely available.
The description asks for technology that doesn’t exist at all, or hasn’t been miniaturized to the extent of being put into a smartphone.
So in summation, our fantasies are more reasonable and possible to come true!
![]() 07/14/2015 at 12:14 |

So like some vans....they are mid-engined. Keep 2 seats in the back and chop the rest of the chassis. lol

Like all the adults in Peanuts cartoons (Charlie Brown)... wah gwah gwaahh gwahh...
