My father in law has a 99 or 00 SLT 4wd with 200+k miles. The leather is surprisingly good in that truck. I think it’s the 318 or 360 because it’s just got the MAGNUM badge on top of the engine. I don’t think it’ll ever die.

Both of mine have the Magnum badge as well, and they’re the 4.7. And the leather in the red one looks really good as well, especially for 222,006 miles. Both of mine are SLT, but the blue one has cloth seats, which are still pretty comfy.

My mom has a 1999 SLT with the black leather as well, and it’s also held up pretty well, but it only has 120k-ish miles on it. These things are horrible for rust though, especially on the rockers and rear hatch.

Down in NC, we don’t need to worry about rust as much as places that salt the roads. Under the hood it just says MAGNUM and not 4.7. It’s got the OHV valve covers so I’m not even sure. Also, 15 mpg combined most of the time so it could be either.

Caboose is an organ donor for Sarge, and then whatever is left will be sold for what little I can get.

The blue one has some issues, but has good parts that the red one can use, like a less rusty rear hatch, almost brand new tires, and various other pieces here and there. So, he won’t be left to rot. He’ll just be harvested, and then sold. Those Dodge powertrains actually command a pretty penny.

Shoulda got a maroon one to scavenge for an orange one. Would absolutely fit within the storylines of RvB.
