My fellow Oppos, I have a conundrum. While driving rexently, I saw a car which I could not identify. Which is odd for me. Perhaps I’m having a total mental lapse, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out.
I was unable to safely get a picture, but to me the rear of the car strongly resembles the rear of a 90s Caprice or Impala. But it had two doors. And a short wheelbase. What the hell did I see?
Have a snow drifting GTR. And a great day.

Definitely looked older and rounder than this.

T bird is similar, but it was definitely a GM product.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 11:29 |

This is true, but it was more similar to this.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 11:30 |

This is a possibility, it seemed to have wider tail lights.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 11:32 |

Definitely not, it was missing the distinct soul crushing feeling I get when seeing those.

I don’t think so?

Right, some reason thought they were 2 door, though they are awful either way.

Ugh I hope not. The car I saw appeared pretty good looking to me...

Buick Regal?
Buick Reatta?

You sure it was a 90’s then? The 90’s era GM products are called “bubbles” when you donk them out. Donk is 70’s, Box is 80’s, Bubble is 90’s. Here’s an 87 Monte Carlo.

Similar to the Reatta, closest yet.
![]() 07/13/2015 at 11:52 |

Definitely newer than that. I want to say its this
But I didn’t know they made an Impala coupe?
![]() 07/13/2015 at 11:58 |

I didn’t know they made that either. I thought that was what the Monte Carlo was for, which is why I went with that.
According to Wiki, they didn’t make one. I can’t find anything else that was a 2 door in the 90s except the Monte Carlo, which was just a 2 door Lumina. But I may just be missing something.

One of these?

That picture almost makes the Reatta look good, if only they were rwd.

This kind of question is why sometimes I wish I could post on kinja, I took a picture of an A112 autobianchi abarth some time ago, took me a lot of internet searching to figure out what it was...
