Not exactly sure why but I've always had this "want" show up when I see an MR2. I can't describe why but it's there.

Having that much rust is a problem with W1 MR2s, becauase there are no replacement body panels to be had, at least not from you usual sources. There are a few specialists with steel presses, who can help you but anyway, with that huge a rust-through as on this car, the cost of rebuilding this body to at least respectable level will be huge - therefore this is a CP at $3000, at least it is for me.

Other than that, as an AW11 ower, I can tell you there’s not much else to be afraid of, everything else can be mended. So find a better body, with whatever technical problems there may be, and go from there....

$3k for an SC model? NP even with a bit of rust. What’s not rusted looks clean, but the bit of rust at the front of the door does have me scared a bit...

That one looks in pretty good shape. Better than the one I linked.

It does, it’s also quite cheap in this market. I’m expecting it to be worse when I go see it, we’ll see!
