Was leaving the Club Sega arcade after playing F355 Challenge Arcade for like an hour, and then I saw these:

There was also this guy trying to make wheelies in an itasha moped:

I swear if I don’t see an itasha when I’m in Japan I’m going to be upset!

I think they gather in Akihabara every Friday night, but I’m not sure. If you tell me when you’re coming I can check if there are any Itasha Events going on.

I just don’t get anime, or why so many grown men like it.

I like it becuase it is funny and cool. Regarding anime in cars, I would like to have one, but not as a DD.

I wonder what anime character I would put on my car. Maybe Masaru Hananakajima or somebody from Tensai Bakabon. Like that eel-dog thing. It’d have to be something really anti-loli, like pretty much anybody from Kochikame.

Probably because not all anime consist of little girls in those skimpy outfits. I personally can’t stand that kind of crap in the anime that I watch.
If you think a show like Ghost in the Shell isn’t aiming squarely at the adult demographic - what with being so heavily influenced by Sci-Fi like Blade Runner - then I don’t know what to tell you beyond; “to each their own.”
