I got the trunk open! Dry graphite FTW!!!
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Special thanks to Big Bubba Ray for suggesting graphite. It was a $2, 10 minute fix.

Graphite is my go to if something door/trunk related on a car won't work. We just fixed my inop driver's side door lock with the stuff this week, works like a charm now.
