I think it looks like a cross between a cow catcher and a snow plow.

Why are you doing this? It can’t be that much to buy a new bumper. Are you planning on Mad Maxing it or somthing?

Sexy. You going to paint it body color?

Stock bumper was fine (and I’m keeping it in case I want to go back) mostly the latter reason, also boredom and lots of scrap metal sitting around in the garage. Life is too short to drive boring cars.

Thanks! Black durabak, smooth finish. Never used the stuff before and have always been curious to see how tough it actually is.

Thats true, I have a beige crown vic and it is pretty boring in stock form. Do people think your a cop with it on. I get people slowing down around me when they see my headlights at night.

Are you going to fill in the space under the lights?

Pretty sure you dropped 6 mpg

Next, it needs a huge blower. That is a lot of metal to push around.

I hope those welds aren’t complete. Look like tac welds. Make that fucker strong and pretty it up with a grinding and feather wheel.

Oh don’t worry I’m sure all that weight up front won’t have any effect at all on the car’s handling. None...at...all.....

Saw something like this on a monte carlo ss today, except it had “confederate” flags ziptied to each side. Incase anybody was wondering it was being driven with the windows down, country music playing by a 20 something white male wearing a baseball hat

Yeah, you should just go full Mad Max!

Never been confused for a cop but maybe with this I will.

You are correct just tacked. Doubt I'll clean it with the grinder. The Bedliner paint should hide them enough.

What handling?
![]() 07/10/2015 at 22:18 |

Like 3 mpg

I'm going to do something with the rear end as well.

Yeah. Welded a 1.5” strip of metal upright all the way around. See most recent post for picture.
