I thought the Stringbean was bad having to go through the wheel well - but this? This is bad news.
Also this is a fugly engine. *Uplander
*note the distributor wedged all the way in the back... Have fun with that one or a spark plug change.

Looks GM-y to me but I can't tell what it is.

What car is that?

Please tell me what car that is so I can avoid ever working on that engine
O_O.

Uplander with I believe a 3.0

You are correct. Uplander

Here’s another fun Mopar battery.

And here I was annoyed my washer resevoir was under my battery. In retrospect that’s a better design than the other way round lol.

relocate to the trunk, or better yet, under the passenger seat, wire it up for a shock when you have an annoying passenger

Chevy Uplander , I think with a 3.0

Yikes. Remind me to never buy an Uplander/SV6.

I thought I posted one a ways back but kinja ate it apparently - go figure.
Peking duck sounds awesome as the ducks are continuing to multiply and we need some delicious population control
Stratus: not mine but same setup

As long as it isn’t rusty undoing the 2 bolts and maybe a couple connectors to move that module and then four bolts to remove the cross brace shouldn’t be that bad.
Changing spark plugs however, looks like you’d have to drop the engine!

Reason #191 to never buy a PT Cruiser.

You do need some population control. I suggest the shotgun method.
Thanks for this that is ridiculous.

To access the battery in current-generation Dodge Avengers you have to remove the driver-side front wheel, then the front wheel well liner. #mopar

I always loved the ones on the mid to late 90’s Chevy Lumina/Monte Carlo.
There it is... under the washer tank. No, you cannot access it via the wheel well.

My Volvo S80’s battery couldn’t be easier to access. Just flip up the trunk carpet. :)

Smart. Chevy: uh, just go ahead and disassemble the front half of your vehicle and it’ll be easily accessible

Not surprising. GM engineering seems to be a collection of afterthoughts and half-assedness with minimal foresight.

Yep. Volvo battery locations ftw! In my dad’s V70 it’s also under the rear cargo floor though you can jump it from the front if necessary...in my new V50 it’s very easy to get to though under the hood...
