Finally picked this up from Total Engine Service today. Waiting on a few other odds and ends to show up at the house and I’ll start doing installation work on it, the rear end, exhaust and CTS-V brakes on my Firebird.
It’s a big NA cam, over 600 lift, 270 duration, forged pistons, big valve race ported heads and the car has full suspension work including a watts link, konis and other stuff. It’s a mod list a mile long...

How much power do you think you will make?

It’s awesome that you are sticking with the 6cyl.

Somewhere north of 250hp to the tires. We’ll see how close to the 300whp mark this gets even if it requires a dose of race gas and a little more timing since that will be the NA record for the 3800 SII community.
Stock, it did 168whp, last engine setup on a baby cam and basic port did 196 through a very loose 3800rpm stall and built auto. I never re-dynod after I installed a T-56 so I didn’t see that difference on paper, maybe 215 ish there.

Thanks, looking forward to making noise on the track again...

I’d like to see this on an engine dyno. Posts make me happy because its an attractive candidate for Fiero’s or a mid engine’d or light bodied something. So yeah I’ve been googling that and ways to itb them.

Yeah, I wish we had an engine dyno to play with for this engine setup. ZZPerformance and Intense-racing are too far away for that to happen.
ITB’d 3800 would sound amazing. Would need to run a standalone as they don’t seem to like running in speed density.

250 Hp is a pretty good number, looking forward to seeing the finished product. Keep up the good work!
