Wow, this takes me back. For those of you who never used a VHS or a LaserDisc, here’s a primer on what you missed. We’ve come a long way, baby.

A friend’s dad had a TV repair shop back in the 80s. (you know back when the TV was a piece of furniture!)
He had a copy or more of every LaserDisc movie made at that time. “The next big thing!”

Back when TVs were furniture, and they could be repaired and not just thrown away. As I understand it, the LaserDisc is actually making sort of a retro comeback, much like LPs. But there are many, many, many more LPs out there.
