I’ve been looking for some wheels for my C30 and after struggling to find a decent set of R wheels (I knew I should’ve kept the ones from my R) I found these. Trying to decide if they are too ricer or not though. Quick photoshop of my car with them on below:

I really suck at photoshop but you get the idea at least on the front kind of....

Also: Another big thing I forgot: I was going to just powdercoat my wheels. BUT, these only cost $5 more a wheel! And they fit my current tires which have less than 500 miles on them!

What brand are they? They appear to be cheap knockoffs, and that concerns me. Never cheap out on something that bears the weight of the whole car.

On Tirerack they do a pretty good job of photo imposing wheels on your car of choice. This exercise tells me green is not a good choice.

I’m not 100% opposed to knockoffs. I’ve had a set myself. My thing with knockoffs is I want to know how much they weigh, how they’re made, and that they’re likely at least decent quality. Sometimes that’s hard to tell.

Without really any brand information, the only real question is how bad are the potholes in your area? Cheap wheels can break on those. In many cases the stock wheels are better made. I would only buy knock offs if the roads are good and I absolutely hated the stock wheels. Otherwise I’d save for some form of forged wheels.

Oh hey I’m looking for a new set of rims as well! I’m not going to buy anything for at least 6 months, but I’ve decided on the S60 R-Design wheels. Not many C30s out there have them but they look great. These aren’t straight from Volvo, but they are the only ones I can find online, are cheaper than from Volvo, and I think they will work fine.

Ive decided that Im going to save and try to do something similar! I have some links I found

Im going to be waiting a while though because my tires are brand new and i need to wear them down to justify the cost of new tires.

The Ixiom wheels are too amazing not to love!

Im going with the gray because I feel carbon black might be a bit overkill for me but YMMV.

This is the other option (from Platinum Trim S/V60s) and holy hell I love it. Probably look insane and be one of the first C30s with them!
