So I got an email from Dropbox saying some of my free storage was expiring. I was losing 48gigs. Problem was Dropbox was saying I was using nearly 28gigs. I knew there was no way I was using that much. I basically just backup epubs, and pictures from my phone. So the search began for the problem.
Not sure how many of you use DB, so a bit of background. If you have it installed on your PC, it will automatically save certain things, like screenshots.
Specifically 35,675 Files. Im assuming my cat decided my laptop was a good spot to nap, and was on my prt sc button. But I have no idea how I ended up with 35,675 screen shots of the same thing. A woot page on Chrome. It was roughly 22gigs of screen shots.

I see from the screenshot you decided to keep 11 of the screenshots. WHAT SECRET PURPOSE DO YOU HAVE WITH THEM?
(yeah, I know, you probably deleted 11 first)

No, 11 of them are actual things I wanted. Like the image attached.

Hahaha... I finally relented last year and started paying for Dropbox. Such a great service.

I got that email too and here might be a solution to it. I got the extra 48GBs from using a ROM on my Note 2 called Beans ROM. You probably got it legally by purchasing a participating Samsung product (I think it was their tablets) during that huge tablet boom two years ago.
I don’t use that much so losing the 48GBs on my Dropbox didn’t affect me at all, but if you want it back, downloading that ROM onto one of your devices, during the setup, you have the option to do the Dropbox 48GB offer again.

I wouldnt have a problem with that if they had a sensable plan avalible. I dont need 1TB, not even close. And I dont want to pay 10 bucks a month either. If they had something smaller I would have no problem.

Exactly.
Max free space is 20GB.
If there were, say, a 50GB or 100GB plan for a $1-2 a month, sure.
$12/mo for 1TB? No effing way. I’d never use it; it would just be a massive, useless dumping ground for mismanaged files.
