Is there any way I can prepare my car and myself so I don’t end up in a YouTube video?

I know most of the course from Gran Turismo. I think..

We will be staying a weekend, and we will drive my car there one day, and my dads Forester the next.

Its a 4-5 hour drive. Me or my car have never driven that long, at least since while I have it. The longest I drove is 3 hours so I think I will be okay. I hope my car will be too.

Is there anything I need to take with me or make sure of before I leave?

I might just have to come out there too. The FiST hasn’t made it yet but it’s itching to, what do you drive?

Don’t crash... that would be my suggestion.

Also, don’t push to hard and go over the limits of your driving abilities. That is what gets a lot of people.

Yes, if you know a course in a game you don’t know the real track because you can’t feel it rotate.

Also just watch the road and be smart about where your line is and people around you.

Only drive what you can see, and consider covering the top half of your tachometer’s rev range with tape at first as you learn the track. Gran Turismo does nothing to prepare you for the elevation change and visibility, so pretend you’ve never played it. Good luck, be cautious, and have fun!

PS9s guide to not ending up in a nurburgring video.

Step 1: Don’t drive on the nurburgring.

Great advice! Most helpful ITT.

seriously though, I hope I and my car make it.

I will record video from inside the car so you can see me fuck up in 1080p.

I practiced Gran Turismo for a month before I went. I don’t think it really helped that much. There’s so many blind corners so my advice is to just drive at your comfort level, and watch your rear view. You’ll have people that have been around it hundreds of times passing you left and right. The more times you go around the faster you will go as it becomes familiar.

We have speed bumps the size of mountains. My car already scrapes many, and even new cars scrape. My driving instructors car, a Toyota yaris, had a lot of trouble with the bumps.

It doesn’t stop others from doing it though! My real problem is lack of funds, and the money I will spend on this car in the foreseeable future is in restauration/repair, making it rust free is my top priority.

Stay aware of your surroundings and move over to let faster cars pass you

Drive slower than you think you need to.

Your reasoning is sound and those speed bumps look treacherous. Carry on, fellow defender of stance.

Take it easy. Now that we have got that part out of the way. TAKE IT EASY!

the track is very bumpy, dont try and set any laptimes, only bad things can come of this. did I mention take it easy yet?

is your freind for this.

Also, have an amazing time. I’ve been to the ring twice, but still not turned a lap as its been for the 24hours when they close the track for the week around it.
