This group of street “drifters” has always been, and will continue to be, a joke. One of their members hitting someone just proves it. He crashes at the end of the video.

Going to see street drifting and parking near a corner is still begging for this kind of things to happen.

Is this a closed road? Why are there cars parked here?

Hopefully he has more specific info, but we park along roads like that all the time to hike out here. I can't tell from the video if they're innocent bystanders or spectators though.

It is an open, public road

They’re spectators.

Well that’s for crap then. Drifting like this is dangerous by nature, damage is to be expected. Should not be done on public roads period. Especially if this is an organized event. And by organized I mean as little as someone saying “Hey let’s go drifting! This road at This time”. Those don’t look like street legal cars.

Can’t wait for this trend to end.

Does anyone know if you can actually go around a track faster when drifting as compared to handling all the curves properly? In my eyes “drifting” was always just a good recovery in a tail happy car. Looks like a waste of tires and cars to me!
