Because for $4900 you can roll like me. Except you can’t, because my car’s been in the shop for the last week.

Kinja'd!!!

The body shop that is. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! insurance got to fork over several grand, but my car should be as good as new. We’re getting the lower front valance replaced while we’re at it.

Y’all were getting lined up to make VAG reliability jokes, weren’t you? Sorry, 130k miles and it hasn’t missed a beat.

A8 is only FWD on the base V6. And neither of those are available in the US. Here it’s AWD and V8/W12 only.

I’m actually surprised FWD hasn’t made it back here yet, in light of CAFE. We used to get it, though. And even still, it’s FWD-based AWD.

Oh man, you’re no fun!

From experience, I know 160k is where the problems start.

That may be true, but it’s RW biased.

No, that’s possible on a chain timed VAG engine.

The 167K on my belt timed APB 2.7T? On track duty? Yeah, that’s what you call impossible.

FWD based only in the perspective that it is a longitudinal engine driving a transaxle for the front and center diffs.

Weight balance was not a priority there. No, siree...Not at all...
