Needed more supplies while my bumper was off for paint so drove it like this. Only managed to repair all the damage and get it primed since I got an interview and need the car to get there.

is it legal to drive like this? I only ask as down the line I’m thinking about going for a different bumper that would require a completely new exhaust configuration so would need to drive without a rear bumper for a trip or 2

Just wondering, but why does one taillight have two white sections and the other one doesn't.

Something about the name Twingo just brings a smile to my face when I say it or read it.

One side is red fog light, other is reversing.

Reversing light and rear fog light. Mandatory in europe and maybe somewhere else, but not in the US. Only to be used if there is really thick fog and therefore especially bright.

I may well be wrong (though as this is the internet, I will argue that point to the death of course) but I believe its illegal to drive without bumpers, even if the numberplate is displayed.
Something along the lines of not being in a roadworthy condition would be the reason I would imagine that an officer of the law would be interested in having a little chat (but again may well be wrong).

yeah that’s what I would be thinking that it’d fall under the not being road worthy condition

Reverse light on one side and foglight on the other.

It’s definitely not legal but I didn’t get pulled over so meh. For a start you don’t have lights on the rear plate anymore which is a requirement.

It is legal, as long as your car still displays your number plate, and has no sharp or jagged edges sticking out due to bodywork being removed. It would fail an MOT but it’s not illegal. I’ve been driving the Defender without a front bumper for 4 weeks now, and nobody gives a shit. Rozzers don’t even look twice.

Okay, thank you. I don’t live in Europe, so I didn’t know that’s how the taillights were designed. I knew about the rear fog light requirement, but I didn’t know that they were sometimes built into the main light.

Some have a separate rear fog light and two reverse lights, but most save money by just using one of the tail clusters.
