I’ve been looking at used E9x M3’s lately, just out of curiosity. There is a single vehicle within 100 miles of me. The next is 262 miles away, the one after that 380.

Again out of curiosity, I changed the search area from myself (Santa Fe) to where I’ll be living soon (Harrisburg, PA) and got TWENTY-EIGHT within 100 miles.

Granted, I’m pretty sure that radius includes Philadelphia (which I should learn how to spell I suppose.), but it’s still interesting. I think a lot of it comes down to how packed together the eastern region is, compared to the one-and-a-half cities anyone outside the state has heard of for 200 miles in all directions from me.

If I wanted a Range Rover Classic, though, there’s like 12 of them down the street.

And that is how I feel trying to find 70’s Celicas or parts in Wisconsin, when looking at Arizona or California.

We don’t even salt our roads down here; we use sand. It’s hell for windshields, but great for metal.

The flip side is so many cars that would have rusted away years ago anywhere else are still on the road today, so you see a lot of “That shouldn’t even run” cars going down the (75mph) interstate at 35.

I live in Atlanta, and when I was searching the only ones I liked were ALL in SoCal. All the ones near me were black, had too many miles, or had wrecks reported on Carfax. I ended up finding mine in Nebraska (and I still had to compromise because it has a moonroof). Had I lived in SoCal I would of had 8 white ones to choose from. Sometimes I wish I would of just flown there for a weekend, checked them all out, and spent a week driving one back.

Well, if you find a good 74 and down Celica shell that no one wants, let me know.
