Took a quick jaunt to the bank and on my way I came across two of my favorite ‘newer’ BMWs.
Pretty rare car in the states are Alpina BMW’s. The German tuner isn’t the obvious choice when the affluent go to purchase a new BMW often opting to spring for the //M Badge because it’s more recognizable.
You’d have to be a car nerd to walk into a dealership and ask for a B6. IMO this is the better choice for NY as it can be optioned with AWD. I don’t recall of the lack of X-Drive badging on this particular vehicle means that it lacks a central diff or if it’s standard on all Alpina’s.
Either way, hats off to this gentleman on his purchase.
And here's a Clown Shoe 2.0 for your enjoyment. I love the Z4 M Coupe. It always was a dream car for me. I wouldn't care if someone shat on it in a review. It just seems like good driving fun.

I feel you on the Z4 M Coupe, but when you compare it to the M clownshoe it just doesn’t hold up.

Whoa.
Thought you could only get the B7 here in the US?

That’s neat! I think I’ve found a B6 before while searching vehicle listings, but I don’t remember whether or not it was a two door or a four door. Are the B6 models only four doors?
Dunno how rare these are, but I saw a 3-Series GT yesterday.

Go home Lahey you’re drunk. They had the B6 at the NY Auto Show in 2014. I believe it was unavailable before then.

And I’d do it again for dat ass... it was a red light thankfully. I was about to jump out the car but there was a PO right next to me writing tickets for parked cars.

The Clownshoe may have the rawness and quirkyness down to a T, but the refinement and chassis in the Z4MC leave the Clownshoe behind. Both great cars, depends on what you want.
