I’ve seen this car around for awhile, but finally managed to hook up with the guy, turns out he’s a friend of a friend. It’s a P71 and is still a 4.6 but has cams, a Tremec T45 manual, and coilovers front & rear, plus some trick rear arms. He’s been experimenting with front bodywork for tire clearance and aero. It sees Buttonwillow and Willow Springs regularly, and apparently it’s turned low 1:40s at Big Willow. Pretty damn good for a 4000lb police car with AC. It’s a work in progress, but a very cool car. Given how much Panther love we have here, I had to share it.

I still want to go Full Retard with one of these. Retractable spoiler and air dam, performance suspension, cutouts, supercharged V10, auto trans with a Hurst-ey manual BANG shift mode. Transforms from sleeper to WTFH4X in seconds. Best to use a GrandMa with a half-landau.
