Humans are carbon based. So...... how much carbon fiber can be made from a person? Enough to make what car part(s)? If you can be made into a car part, what will it be?
Aero?
Exterior Trim?
Interior Trim?
Suspension/Frame/Engine component ?
Assuming I can provide enough carbon fiber, I’d like to be a racing seat for a racecar I built. Family can drive it hard and know I holding them tight and safe :]
Just don’t fart on me!
lol :]

Okey dokey. Humans are 18.5% carbon. Carbon fibre is c.92% carbon by mass.
So: a 200lb human would produce 37lbs of carbon, which in turn would produce 40.2lbs of carbon fibre. That’s actually quite a lot :/

holy crap! That’s way more than I thought!!!!

The McLaren 12C’s interior CF tub weighs 165 pounds.
Jeremy Clarkson weighs 224 pounds, so he can make 45 lbs of CF.
3 2/3 Clarksons (Maybe 3 Clarksons and 1 Hammond) can compose the 12C’s tub.

Roughly 18% of the human body is made up of carbon, so if you could somehow extract 100% of that, you’d get about 11.2kg (given the average human male weighs 62kg). I’m no chemist, but I’d imagine that the efficiency of any process used to extract carbon from a human corpse is going to be far below 100%. Supposing you could get close to 100% efficiency from the extraction process, you still have to worry about manufacturing, which is also going to have a lot of waste.
Basically, if you want your dead corpse to be made into a car part, pick something very small and have a lot of money on hand.

I didn’t even think about the efficiency or more than likely, lack there of in process. Like you said, even if possible, it will be beyond expensive.
World most expensive key fob battery cover it is :’(

“Did I hear that someone needs some carbon?”

We’ll have to include the resin weight, which is about 35% of total mass. So: A 224 pound Clarkson offers 41.44lbs of carbon fibre sheet, therefore 63.7lbs of resin bound carbon fibre, which means we actually only need 2.59 Clarksons to create a McLaren 12C tub.
To Clarkson island!
