It’s just after 4am and I was awoken to the crackle of thunder and a bright flash of lightning as the rain pours down outside the window. At that moment, I wondered if I had shut the top on my Miata.. Did I leave it open because it was nice out and I might want to go on an evening drive? Thankfully, as I ran outside in the pouring rain it was shut. I had remembered to shut it and all was well. One hell of a way to wake up that’s for sure! I’ve got a flight tonight out to LA so it will be a long day. But man did that get me going! Lol my car would have been a bathtub.

I’ve been trying to sleep but the storm took out our power. No breeze is flowing in or anything, humidity is 92% so sleeping by a window doesn’t help. Gonna be a loooong night. Gave up trying to sleep so time to sip some cool water and browse Oppo.

As a last resort, dampen a hand towel (terry cloth car towel, etc), squeeze every drop of water out of it, and wear it like a mini blanket. I don’t care how hot it is, you’ll shiver with any air movement.
Couple summers ago our gym’s AC died and it was stifling. I dampened a tshirt and squeezed it nearly dry, and still thought I was going to freeze walking around between sets.

Ive never experienced one of those (NJ doesn’t see too many) but I would imagine that would be scary to wake up to. Cant just ignore that and hide under the covers either lol.
