The restoration team has Doc out of the hangar and making final preparations for engine start. The cowlings/exhaust are being installed and tweaked, and we’re working on the hydraulic pump for the brakes.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they’re going to make it to Oshkosh this year. That means I’ll have to wait another year to see the world’s only remaining airworthy Superfortresses side-by-side.

I can’t like this enough! Fantastic, though a little sad they won’t make Oshkosh. There’s always next year though.

Yes, a couple of times. First time I saw it I snuck onto Boeing field on night with a buddy and just walked under it for an hour looking at all the details. This was in the very early 90s. Such a cool bird.
