Dangel still makes 4x4 conversions of utilitarian french cars (and Fiats, yay!), probably with a diesel and a manual.

Correct, some of the postal workers here in Norway drive Dangels.. The Berlingo 4x4 from Dangel is a manual, it’s a diesel.. and it’s awesome..
