and dont know what the damage is like, is the worst. Luckily, it was low speed and the damage looks only cosmetic. The only damage on his car was on the license plate. The cop who was two cars behind us saw it and must of thought it wasn’t worth her time, since she basically just said, “just pull off and deal with it” and left. The guy who hit me seemed really nice though.

You still need to check the structure underneath it (specifically the foam blocks that tend to be in bumpers these days). Off to the body shop with you.

Will do. When my moms van was rear-ended a few years ago, it looked fine, but the structure underneath was recked. Visual damage can be a bit misleading.

I find it amazing that the cop could not be bothered to write an accident report. If need be, you should be able to do that after the fact, because if it is expensive enough to warrant insurance, you know they will want the accident report.

You dont necessarily need an accident report, because when I rear ended someone a few years ago, there was no cop involvement, yet the other persons insurance accepted the claim.
