The driveshafts are junk, they make weird whooshing noises at random times, the transmissions are junk, there’s tons of that engine cover plastic crap all over the engine bay (easily fixed), and the rear calipers routinely freeze up if you live anywhere that sees road salt.

never driven one of the 3.7lt models but if it drives anything like the old 3.5LT v6 it’s not just about the power but how it makes it. Man that old 3.5 screamed! reved and felt much bigger and stronger than it actually was. Could also have something to do with the fact that honda also makes some decent transmissions. but then again, I haven’t driven a honda newer than 2008 i found to be worth the honda name. Wheres the spunk? where’s that great hond light feeling. eh, honda peaked in the 90’s/early 2000’s..
also WTF why am i defending honda here. haha

The one I drove didn’t have Nav, and the info screen was completely washed out in sunlight. Not a great bit of design there.

The engine felt way bigger than it actually was. That car really wants to run. Otherwise, it wasn’t very nice. Too many buttons everywhere, the info screen was completely washed out by sunlight. I wouldn’t buy one with my money.

I’ve always though Acura was quick in adopting new technology. Their third gen car had Bluetooth hands free early on and Alpine designed NAV. First car in the US to have six disc DVD-audio changer. Did DTS audio, CD-Rs and CD-RWs and XM radio back in 2004.
It also had Torsen style limited slip.
Fourth gen had their SH-AWD which is pretty dang good. 60GB harddrive for music and USB drive support for music. Blind spot warning vented seats.
Might not be the prettiest skin, but you do get a lot of fun gadgets.

I’d happily take the drivetrain and transmission, and possibly the interior, from the 4G TL and put it in my 3G TL 5AT, but you can keep the beak and all the rest.
