Just got my first ever press car and it’s not a bad little piece of machinery. Very excited to drive this little guy every day and report back everything you already know!

Well since we only have it for a week, I figured a few things would be good: initial reactions from myself and a few people, an article on user submitted suggestions on what to do with it (there’s a link to the reddit thread in that article with all the suggestions), and a full review. If I had it for longer it’d do a track day or auto-X, but I’m not sure there’s going to be time. The friends suggestion will be done. Haha.

Best handling car right off the lot. SLOW AS BALLS THO.... but it handles like its on rails. Still really slow... My 20 year old S6 is a rocket ship by comparison.

Totally agree. 230-250hp with 190-200 lb-ft would make this car a world beater.

He really should. In order the first things I would do if I owned this car would be: 1) drive off the lot, 2) go directly to a tire shop to fit 225/17/45 Michelin Pilot SSs, 3) break in, 4) dyno tune for 230-250.

Im going to link him to this LOL. I told him he just needs enough power for passing on the left. Casue as it is stock, you need to milk that thing, but you still may loose to that minivan full of fatties if the driver see you coming.

YES YES YES on Michelin PSS. I got 235/17/45s for my BRZ, and it’s a COMPLETELY different car now. And not in the “my BRZ is completely different from your FR-S” kind of way. 10/10 would hoon again.

I’m putting off the tune until the warranty is up, but yes - I totally feel the mid-range torque dip.

I daily a 2014 WRX hatch and cannot WAIT until the stock Dunlops are done for. Solid tire, but MPSSs are are the top of the mid-range summer tire. And even cheaper than the Dunlops.

Totally hear you on the tune. I’m about to tune my WRX in a few weeks. Warranty isn’t up, but it’s nearly gone and stage I has been calling my name for over a year.

Yea I can completely symphatize on that. This loaner has the TRD exhaust. Nice sound, too much drone. Would go aftermarket.

I knew about the happenings, but the way I read your question was that you’d thought it actually worked. The linked site was rite there. I was thinking you’d meant that he got it through posting on here and were wondering how it worked now that it’s .kinja, not .jalopnik.
