nvm... I was thinking of washer fluid. Everyone is right here though.

Early antifreeze was methanol. Then it progressed to Ethylene Glycol, and most recently to
Propylene Glycol, because it’s almost non-toxic.

Yeah, glycol something. One of them is actually safe for consumption in small quantities and tastes slightly sweet, I forget which one. The whole point of all this is that just because something sounds scary doesn’t mean it is. For example, I regularly drink rocket fuel: ethyl alcohol, a.k.a. ethanol, a.k.a. tequila, wine, beer, whiskey, you name it.

It actually makes pretty good rocket fuel, it’s partially self oxidizing, low density, non-reactive, easy to store, safe to store, the list goes on. The Russians even used to call their rockets “drunk rockets”. Looks like all that vodka came in handy.
