I think I’m going to do a series of posts called “Shit Customers Leave In Plain Sight”
Today... our intrepid mechanic finds some grass in a sack and piles of paraphernalia just sitting on the back seat. Now Officer Rabbit and I are going to sit here while you smoke the whole bag...
Attention customers of repair facilities: we often need to road test your cars. There are police on said roads. They might find some reason to pull us over. There could be an accident. We shouldn’t have to explain this. There is no older or less convincing excuse than “It’s not mine.” Please, take your drugs out of the car before you drop it off. This has been a PSA from your friendly local repair facility.

Was it a nice enough car to assume he was dealing? Because that’s a lot for personal use.

What car is it? Are there stoner cars other than any vehicle with a surfboard on top?

Car?

It’s a hammered mid 2000s BMW, young kid drives it. We work on other cars for the family, I think the car is a hand me down so who knows.

Hey man, that’s not Pot. It’s medicinal Oregano.

Well, I mean, that’s my 9-5 opinion...

Beat up BMW X3.

You’d be surprised. I’ve seen pipes in buttoned down lawyer and doctor’s cars.

I take it you’ve never purchased weed before, based on how you think they drive nice cars.

I think ‘It’s not mine’ would actually work here. Dude dressed in Mechanics outfit driving something not registered to him with corroboration from the shop owner/supervisor? I’m not a police person or lawyer at all, but I could see someone walking away from that.
Unless that someone is the car owner, because he’d be fucked then. Still a shitty idea to leave your drug things in your car and send it off to be repaired, even if the chance of someone else getting pinned for your grass habit ends up being low.

I know this one librarian. Not weed.

Take it and tell him you don't know what he's talking about when he asks you for it haha!

Take ‘em. Sell ‘em. What’s the brat gonna do? “Mommy the mechanic stole the drugs I was gonna sell!” Fuck outta here, bro. You got this.

That’s enough the car should of reeked of weed from 10 ft away.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 18:57 |

That’s some crap weed right there.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:04 |

Oh, it did. There was a loud “HOLY SHIT” when the tech got in the car.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:06 |

Oh it wouldn’t be an issue to get out of it, I’m sure. But I’ve been pulled over in customer cars for things like brake lights out or broken mirrors, and that’s not a position I want to be in.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:08 |

not that shitty weed
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:10 |

that looks like some garbage ass weed first off. Second it isn’t legal enough out there where it wouldn’t matter, even medical? I know someone that went out to harvest last year like it was nothing. Be like having a bottle of prescription pills around
When I was a kid though that would have been a prison sentence

Where I live, peaple who grow weed call the cops when they get ripped off. So it wouldnt be all that sarcastics what you said.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:25 |

Enforcement is super selective out here, there’s been loads of shit going down over dispensaries, medical services, Fed vs State statutes, etc. We have our own “Doobie Dozen.” And this definitely isn’t CA’s finest. My connoisseur buddies would laugh at this.

So how full was the bag before you took the picture? With that much stock so carelessly stored, I doubt he’d notice if a handful went missing.

I’m having a hell of a salad tonight!
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:36 |

Never opened it, not interested and besides the fact that I’d never ethically do that, if the kid does deal and weighs it, he’d know. If I want weed, I can get better for free. I can get it by 3:00 this afternoon. There are ways, dude.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:41 |

OK, dude.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 19:41 |

I was going to say if you give me $50 I’ll take the bag off your hands, no questions asked, then I realized that it’s pretty shitty stuff.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 20:00 |

oh yeah I bet. Ah well, remind the kid when he comes to get the thing that it is illegal, maybe he forgot!
![]() 06/17/2015 at 20:32 |

Ha! That’s funny..
The bad part is that I have ZERO memory of doing that..
![]() 06/17/2015 at 21:51 |

Now what’s the policy of turning the “items” into the police? I would guess that people are basically trusting you to not take anything from the car but even you must have limits.
![]() 06/17/2015 at 23:07 |
|
Absolutely. If it was coke or something there would have been a phone call or anonymous tip.
![]() 06/18/2015 at 11:08 |

Good call, I should have added this to my list. Where I live this happens frequently, not bags that big, but dimes and shake all over the carpet. Almost smells strong enough to get a contact high.
![]() 06/18/2015 at 12:12 |
|
Oh yeah, no one even wants to sit in this thing. The scent is unbelievable.

If I found this in a customer’s car it would probably go missing.
