Someone offered more more than double what I paid so i have huge incentive to sell. I’m considering it but the one I found was so nice i’m afraid I won’t be able to find one like that if I replace it.
If I do sell I want to get something different. Pulsar GTIR, SR20 Silvia, JZA Supra MK3, etc. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should consider? I want to know what i’m going to replace this with before I sell it. It’s got to be a JDM import. Not necessarily Japanese like I may consider a Delta but the thing is with those I want SOME parts availability and local knowledge and that has none here.
Basically i’m looking at an inexpensive start up (Less than $6000 for the car) and utilizing the rest of the money for mods and restoration.

Pulsar. Holy shit, get the Pulsar. Why haven’t you gotten the Pulsar yet?
Maybe you’re holding out for a fast Stagea?

It’s very rare to profit selling a car or anything else that you’ve used. On the other hand there are some things that you always regret selling.

Yes. The thing is these have only be increasing in value so i’m wondering if someone will offer me even more soon. I probably shouldn’t gamble that.

If jkm is the devil on your shoulder... I'll play the angel. Money isn't everything. If you care about your car, you might regret selling just to make a quick buck. On the otherhand if you don't care about your car... Just ignore everything I just said.

Car values won’t continue to go up forever and until the 3D printing technology (to replace interior parts) catches up, more modern collectible cars will be less desirable.

Sell it now before it’s too late. In the coming years they are gonna plummet in value once there is alot more of them on the streets.
I saw the very same thing happen in Canada. Now the R32 GTS-T can easily be found for under 5K.
Sell it for twice what you paid and then import another one. You will essentially get that other one for free if you think about it.
These are NOT few and far between in Japan. Finding another nice one should be no problem at all if you have a bit of patience.

Toyota Sera, S13 Silvia or Mazda Eunos Cosmo. Although neither would be anywhere near as quick as your Skyline.

I say sell it, but only if you are ready to move on from the Skyline platform. Even if you do bring in a second car, it will never be the same as the first build experience.

This is the way I look at it. If you had the money, would you spend it on the car or do something else with it?
If you would spend it on the car, you should keep it. If you wouldn't spend the money on the car, sell it.

Remember his is a GTS-T with an RB20DET these are rated at 215hp. And not a GTR with the RB26DETT.
A Cosmo was quite underrated power wise and it is believed that the 20B 3 rotor made closer to 330hp.
This is the Cosmo you were talking about right?

You should get a Suzuki Every Joy Pop Turbo

Well if I got another car I would probably get something “easier” to mod like the Silvia I mentioned. I am more a bolt ons kind of guy and the availability for RWD skylines of this era is low for thigns like that. With a Silvia i already have the turbo for the power I want to make there is a TON of parts availabiliy both domestic and overseas. All I would need to hit my goals for the car would be coilovers, injectors, ecu, tune, and maybe a Z32 AFM and the profits would MORE than cover that and i can spend some on refreshing things. With my Skyline to get any further I need Z32 AFM, ECU, Turbo upgrade, and coilovers and I need to save money for all that. That’s not counting that I would like to get a new front bumper and refresh bits on the car on top of that.

I’m taking the replacement part of the equation.
If you had the money you are being offered in the bank and didn't have your current car, would you buy what you have or do something completely different (save it, buy another car, hookers and blow?) Thats the answer to your question.

I was going to reccomend Jensen Interceptor because Murican parts and cool but then I realised prices are pretty high these days...

I’m wondering about owning one of those but am worried about parts availability. Like, where do you buy brake pads?

Take the money and cash out. Then buy the MK3 supra. If all goes according to market trend you’ll also get double for that one in “a while” too.

SELL SELL SELL.
Then when the bottom falls out of the market, buy a GT-R for what you sold the GTS-T for.

Yup, that’s the Cosmo I’m referring to. I thought they had WAY less power than that. Now I want one even more!

They were rated at 276hp because of the gentlemen’s agreement Japan has but it actually had quite a bit more than that.
These were like the ultimate japanese luxury car. I’d love to have one.

I was thinking the very same thing. In Canada you can buy a GTR for as little as 10K now. It won’t be a very good GTR but it’s still a GTR for 10K.

*shrug* Come back at him with 3x what you paid. Settle on 2.5x if he balks.

Did you check Japanese Classics? They currently have a Toyota Crown Royal that’s been VIP’d. It’s sweet.

Brake pads are 300ZX. Most parts are available locally and are nissan parts bin stuff.
The hard parts are the suspension because even overseas there is not much for that. Most of the suspension stuff is made for the GTR which the GTS-4 also uses.

I think i’m going Honda City Turbo for sure
