There is a 2014 c250 in my area with a amg appearance package it has an amg badge at the back though.

Ha - I had the opposite experience today. I was coming up on what I thought was a faux AMG, (aftermarket wheels, dirty) when the guy stepped into it and that crazy AMG v8 wound up.
