Spotted in convertible form yesterday. You can see the CS grill, and new wheels.

Personally, I think it’s alright, but I don’t think it looks as good as the S197 CS. Seeing as the S550 is less retro than the S197, I just don’t think it works as well. I also find the tribar badge to be too big and out of place in a strange way.

I do love the black grill; however, to me it looks rather cheap than the regular GT grill. And I hate to say this even more, but now it looks like a blacked out Fusion grill....Or rather, that corporate Ford Grill that’s on everything now, save for the Escape, thank god....

Maybe it’ll grow on me

Problem with the convertible is you can’t get the Performance Pack.

Also the options mix on the Mustang in general is all messed up, it’s either you get a stripper or you pay an extra $7k for the Premium trims with every single damn option, even if you just want one or two options.

If it were me, I’d just get a stripper model. I do think you can get the PP with convertibles for 2016 though?

They have a convertible performance pack slated for MY 2016!

Mustang GT Convertible buyers can opt for the Performance Package that was previously only available on the Mustang GT coupe. Available on cars with a manual transmission only, the package features increased structural bracing, as well as revised suspension components, brakes, wheels and tires. Some of the specific mods include unique chassis tuning, with strut tower brace and K-brace; revised suspension with upsized rear sway bar, heavy-duty front springs; six-piston Brembo front brake calipers; a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73 axle ratio; and 19-inch aluminum wheels.

Apparently they are going to offer the PP on the ‘16 convertible.

Most of the stuff on the Premium, I don’t want. But there are several options that I’d like to have if they weren’t packaged with a bunch of other nonsense.

I like the 2015s, and the Guard (I’m guessing/hoping) C/S pictured looks sweet, but the grille badge is too big or out-of-place.
