Isn’t she purdy?
Yes, I’m over the line. The spot on the left isn’t actually a spot, say nothing of the matter.

Engine and Manual?

Congrats. Turbah, right?

Very pretty. Have fun with it.

My my that looks stunning.

2.3L Turbo 4, manual gearbox. Base model with just the performance pack. Jalop-edition Mustang.

Ye. Got plenty of power, though coming from a 5.0, it still feels a little sluggish, haha. I’m sure I’ll make due/tune the shit out of it.

Fun will certainly be had. Lots and lots of it.

Awesome! I really love the front end of these.. Probably one of my favorites at the moment. Sweet color too!

It is. I had reservations, as I wanted it in black, but once I saw it in person...it was just right.

Looks great!
![]() 06/08/2015 at 23:24 |

Yeah, it’s modern, but it still looks like a Mustang. Somehow. Certainly passes the lookback test.

I’m probably the only person that’s gonna ask why, remembering that you had a 5.0 beforehand, but why?
![]() 06/08/2015 at 23:54 |
|
Because the front end on the GT was mcfucked up, and Ford wouldn’t fix it. I got this car for a steal because I was given a substantial discount by Ford themselves as a “please don’t sue us” measure.
Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The new Mustangs handle so incredibly well. I’ve never felt more confident in a car’s handling than with this. Not even with my E30. The seats are amazing, too, and they’re not even the Recaros.

basically the EXACT ecoboost I’d want. Looks great! hope she serves you well!

I don’t blame you. It’s the best choice. Tunes are in the future, though.

My second favorite ;)
I just can’t buy Murican Muscles with out the 8... But I’m also the guy that couldn’t wait any longer to test the 15 Mustang (only good Mustang since the 60’s IMO) and after the Camaro SS, and the horribly disappoint 15 Challenger SRT bought a FR-s...
I wouldn’t mind another 100 horses, but man I love this car!
![]() 06/09/2015 at 00:12 |

well I said that’s the ecoboost I’d get. If I we’re buying a stang myself, I’d work harder to earn the extra $30 a month or so needed to pay a GT off over X years.
and yes, tunes are important! my GLI's tune woke it the fuck up! :D

It’s actually closer to $120 a month more for the GT over 84 months. GT starts at 33k, then performance package adds another 4k. The turbo only cost me about 25k, though sticker was 28.

Well, that’s the thing. The Mustang, while it might look like a muscle car and sorta feel like a muscle car, is no longer a muscle car. It’s very much a proper sports car now. When you can whip around an on ramp and pull .9G without any concern, you’re not driving a muscle car anymore.

lol, I knooooooow. Exactly why I wanted one until that FR-s came along and ruined it all!
(Can’t trade, can’t trade, can’t trade, twelve cars so far is enough, 12 cars so far is enough)

Slow down, what happened to the GT?
![]() 06/09/2015 at 00:40 |

There’s a common problem amongst the later S197 cars, where there’s a little rattle and knock in the front end, feels like a bad bushing. In my car, it was incredibly bad, and it drove me insane. Ford replaced the entire front end, and the problem didn’t go away, but since my car was used, I couldn’t do lemon law.
At best I could sue for breach of warranty, and Steve Lehto said I probably had a pretty good case, but they offered me a few grand off a new car, so I just took that instead. Not quite a buyback, but I’ll take it.

This is 10 for me, haha. I know that feel all too well.
It’s a good feel.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 00:46 |

Ah. I never knew there was such a problem. Well hopefully you’ll love the 2.3 as much as the 5.0.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 01:00 |

I was gonna make sure you got the performance pack. It needs the performance pack. You must have the performance pack.

Gahh 84 months financing? I think I just threw up in my mouth.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 06:45 |

Eh, you do what you can. There are worse things.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 06:46 |

It’s required equipment.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 06:47 |

Yeah. I think the new ones are designed a little better, so hopefully it won’t be a problem, haha.

Too many seats. Not a sports Car. Grand Tourer. It says so right on the V8.

I test drove one, and it was very nice. Does not baby very well, though. Congarats!

Pretty sure Cobb has stuff for these, and that’s really all I’d use.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 09:10 |
|
Conveniently, I do not have one of those, therefore it is the perfect car, lol.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 09:12 |

This isn’t a V8 though, lol. 4 is quite a bit lighter than the 8, and I posit that it is a sports car, regardless of the seat count. 911 has four seats, too.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 09:13 |
|
Yeah, Cobb has an access port, but I’m thinking catless exhaust and some piping under the hood. Should get it well over 300whp.
![]() 06/09/2015 at 09:15 |
|
911 isn’t a sports car. Not until they make it into a Cayman. Then it’s a sports car. Otherwise it's a stretch Cayman.
Heh!

Convenient!
