I found this listing this morning. This is a pretty cool looking car. I am wondering if any Oppos have some experience with these cars.

Jesus that is one confusing description, “Coop”, “Saleing” and no commas whatsoever.

Looks like a big project.
Let us know how it looks in your driveway.

I have a ‘73. I paid about the same but for a car in better condition (minus mine has a big hole in the floor that was poorly repaired, and another hole that needs to be repaired). They are fun cars to drive and pretty simple mechanically, but unless you know of a junkyard that has a couple of these, I would avoid buying that one because some parts can be hard to get and will be pricey if you don’t get them yourself. That one I wouldn’t pay $1600 for. Maybe 1000, because you’re probably looking at another 1000 just to get it back on the road.

The seller might be a fan of Nordic grocery stores.

Hahaha I had a hearty laugh. Isn’t Coop swiss though?

It’s Swedish to my knowledge but I might be wrong.
Edit: It seems to be owned by multiple Swedish, Norwegian and Danish cooperatives.

You are probably correct, I just remember it being everywhere when I’m there.

See my edit. I was first exposed to them when I was roadtripping in northern Norway. We don’t have them in Finland.

Many years ago I had a ‘67 Monte Carlo. This one’s a bit pricey considering that it doesn’t run right now, but 96s are super easy to work on and they’re wonderful cars, absolutely great fun to drive.
By the way, when the new owner changes the clutch on this one, I hope he doesn’t forget to put on the circlip that holds on the throwout bearing before he puts the engine back in, like I did once.

Yes
And there is one thing I can say
Idiosyncratic is too mild a word for the design
